Micro Clinique,
Ltd.
Micro Clinique, Ltd. concentrates on high-end health care systems
integration, with a focus on telehealth, distributed health systems and
especially telemedicine. Its founder, Dr. Eugen Vasilescu, left in January 1998
his position of Chief Technologist at Northtrop Grumman Data Systems after 11
years of sustained hands-on R&D and integration/prototyping work to apply
his skills as Chief Technology Officer of Micro Clinique, Ltd.
Micro Clinique, Ltd. is the integrator, designer, architect and developer of
T2P2, the leading store-and-forward web-based telemedicine system within US DoD.
With T2P2 Micro Clinique, Ltd. established itself as the leader within DoD and
United States in the area of store and forward telemedicine systems.
During first half of 1999, T2P2 was deployed in Hawaii and its next version
will be deployed during March 2000 in Alaska. The excellence of the T2P2 system
was recognized by its nomination in August 1999 for a one-time Federal Systems
Award. T2P2 is unsurpassed in its capabilities to integrate with other Hospital
Information Systems and Radiology Information Systems. As a separate component
of T2P2, Micro Clinique developed a versatile Image Acquisition Station that
proved its capability in demanding training exercises that required the
transmission of images over unreliable satellite connections.
Micro Clinique, Ltd. also performed extensive integration, design and
software development for advanced projects related to the Computer-based Patient
Record Interoperability within US DoD Health Affairs (HA).
Micro Clinique, Ltd. offers a unique blend of high-end integration skills and
unsurpassed practical applications of leading edge technologies in the health
care informatics area. Micro Clinique, Ltd. achieves this performance by relying
on about twenty full-time software developers/designers/analysts and a number of
associate professionals that join Micro Clinique's efforts on an as-needed
basis.
The Micro Clinique, Ltd team is led by Dr. Eugen Vasilescu, who has over 30
years academic and professional experience and is a recognized authority in the
area of distributed computing environments and related integration and
interoperability issues. As Chief Scientist for the DoD HA integration contract
held by Northrop Grumman during 1995-1998 he performed a key role in almost a
dozen DoD HA technical and architectural integration tasks covering the whole
breadth of HA technical challenges.
